Biokineticist

Frequently Asked Questions.
Gain insights into the biokinetics session experience and the road to achieving your fitness and health goals.

Do I have to have a consultation before I start my training?
Yes. It is very important for a biokineticist to first determine what your specific needs are in order to create a personalised program for you.
What should I wear to my consultation?
For your comfort, we recommend wearing loose and flexible clothing that allows ease of movement. If you have an ankle or knee injury, wearing shorts can facilitate a better examination of the affected area. Female clients are encouraged to wear a sports bra or spaghetti top underneath their shirts for added convenience during sessions.

What can I expect during a biokinetics consultation?
In your consultation, we'll identify potential factors contributing to your injury or discomfort through muscle strength and stability assessments. We'll also discuss your individual injury and medical history to create a personalized treatment plan designed to meet your specific needs. We will explore lifestyle adjustments for non-communicable conditions such as diabetes or hypertension.
Do I need a referral from a doctor to see a biokineticist?
A referral is not necessary, but if you've previously seen a physiotherapist, doctor, chiropractor, or any other healthcare professional, it would be helpful to bring along any reports or documents they may have provided.
